The ability to read is perhaps the most important gift that language teachers can give to young learners. Students can unlock new worlds, share new experiences and learn information that will be essential for their future lives and academic success. Helping students start their journey towards reading begins with teaching Phonics. Participants in this interactive workshop will explore essential methods, tools and approaches for creating an active phonics classroom full of fun, effective activities and successful young readers. We will also discuss how to create a bridge for learners between phonics and enjoying their first books. All participants will receive activity ideas, resources, (and energy!)
